š± Welcome, High School Changemakers!
Hi, I'm Mahi
When I started high school in 2022, I had a vague understanding of what a capstone project entailed. Still, the purpose of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was entirely new for me.
My journey toward creating my capstone project began with my grandfather, an agriculturist and microbiologist, who demonstrated a profound dedication to maintaining his garden . Through his use of cow dung compost, he transformed his yard into a vibrant "chlorophyll jungle," igniting my curiosity about how compost truly benefits the soil.
This quest for knowledge, which literally began in the dirt, opened the door to the fascinating world of computational algorithms. Over the past three summers, I immersed myself in learning Python through workshops at UT Dallas and certification courses from MIT, equipping myself with the skills needed to explore the intersection of technology and agriculture. I developed a machine learning model to analyze the crop yield prediction model using the bacterial content of the soil. First, I showcased my initial findings when I advanced to my regional science fair.
As I delved deeper into pressing issues like sustainability and soil degradation, I came across the United Nations Sustainable Development Goalsā17 transformative objectives aimed at building a more equitable and sustainable world. Inspired by these goals, I set out to create a tangible solution: an innovative app named AgroEtopia, built on the same model. It is currently deployed to local farmers for initial testing, something my late grandfather would appreciate for sure.
My project was further refined during the Congressional App Challenge and later accepted into the Global AI Hackathon, which aligns with the United Nationsā Sustainable Development Goals. After two and a half years of dedicated research and development, my findings were published in the International Journal of Science Research and are now indexed on Google Scholar. Thatās how I forged my pathāby creating a meaningful capstone project.

š” My Vision
Imagine a world where every high school student contributesāat least onceāto a
real-world project that brings us one step closer to the ideal world we can
proudly call E-utopia.

š Why This Platform?
"Inspired by my own high school journey and the UN Sustainability mission, I created this website to help high school students access resources to build their own projects. I also shared useful information on how to build a unique high school portfolio ā including creating projects, publishing papers, initiating a nonprofit club, participating in competitions, and volunteering under one āSustainability Goalā.
